By the end of this course, participants should be able to:
- Understand the role of rehabilitation in the management of impairments resulting from COVID-19;
- Describe the etiology of a range of rehabilitation-related impairments in COVID-19;
- Know who and when to assess for rehabilitation needs;
- Provide education and advice to patients and their families; and
- Advise on strategies to help patients and their families manage their impairments.

This guide is intended to aid clinicians and hospital staff to manage COVID-19 response efforts in newborn care units in sub-Saharan Africa. Topics covered include: Priority Resources Relevant to LMICs, Risk to Neonates and Infants, Best Practices for Hand Washing, General Information on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Professional Risk Exposure, Disinfection of Medical Equipment

Developed by WHO and ICRC, in collaboration with the International Federation for Emergency Medicine, Basic Emergency Care (BEC): Approach to the acutely ill and injured is an open-access training course for frontline healthcare providers who manage acute illness and injury with limited resources.

The series of teaching slides decks is intended to serve as a framework of content to be modified, updated and used by local instructors supporting healthcare workers caring for COVID19 patients.
